Paint Protection Film
Paint Protection film also known as clear bra or clear mask is a clear Urethane film that absorbs road debris from damaging your factory paint. PPF is roughly a 90% effective product and should be treated as such. Objects that are sharp and moving fast enough can still puncture the film causing a small rip in it. It can also go right through to the factory finish. Most of the time this does not happen but it can. ColoradoDetail uses Xpel Ultimate plus. This film has a self-healing top coat. The self-healing effect is limited to the top 0.5mil top coat. This is designed to self-heal normal wash marring i.e. swirl marks. If the scratch is deeper than 0.5mil it most likely will not self-heal. Touched car washes can cause swirl marks in self-healing films over time. We suggest hand washing or touch-free. Always be careful with any car wash and PPF. PPF is always limited to the surface it is applied to and an edge may exist. High-pressure washes can cause the edge to lift or bubble. This is not warranted. Use car washes at your own risk. During hand washing with a home power washer always stay more than 1ft away. High-pressure washers can cut through the film very easily. In Colorado, PPF is highly recommended. Protect that ride with ColoradoDetail today!
